Sometimes I hate my kids. Like today. Our house looks like it just survived hurricane Ike, but the forces weren't Mother Nature. I'm so sick of cleaning up after them. And really, they're too young to help just yet in the cleaning process.
But Bill doesn't help, either. He makes just as much of a mess as the kids, if not more so. He gets something out, and then just leaves it out. If there's any dusting or mopping or using any kind of cleaning products, it's done by me. Yes, he goes to work full-time, and I stay at home with the kids full-time, but his full time (40 hours) and my full time are not at all equal. Mine is 15 hour days, 7 days a week. When do I get a weekend off?

my kids are too young to clean up too, but i am working on it. i can't wait till i can turn them into my slaves, and i tell them that all the time! =) hang in there.
i find housecleaning wearying and mostly pointless. i used to be a clean freak until i had kids. they make new messes faster than i can clean - and mostly i just try to make sure everyone is up to date on their tetanus shots and don't worry about the mess. i figure in 20 years i can get back to cleaning.
